According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Chuck Schumer wrote in a message on the social network “X” in response to the increase in US inflation during the war with Iran: Skyrocketing inflation, the highest in years. All because of the unnecessary, unplanned, and reckless war that Donald Trump started.
He added: This is another reason why we must end this war now. The American people are paying the price for Trump’s stupidity every day.
In the early hours of Wednesday, after 40 days of war, Iran and the United States agreed to a two-week ceasefire brokered by Pakistan and the resumption of talks based on Iran’s 10-point proposal.
The ceasefire agreement was approved by the US President and Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
This ceasefire came into effect in all regions, including Lebanon and elsewhere, at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Iranian time, and at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, Eastern Time. However, the Israeli regime is violating this ceasefire and is heavily bombing Lebanon.
The Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council announced in its statement that negotiations between the Iranian and American delegations will begin on April 11 in Islamabad.
Iran has allocated two weeks for these negotiations, and this time can be extended by agreement of the parties.
