PNN – Referring to the attacks that Iran has inflicted on the United States in the region, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson said: Iran has blinded the eyes of the American army by destroying American radars in the region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Russia Today’s Larry Johnson said in a video he posted on YouTube: Iran has great military and strategic capabilities compared to the United States and Israel, and this has caused their military plans to fail.

He added: Iran’s counterattacks in response to the US and Israeli attacks have created radical changes in the military equation. No one imagined that Iran would be able to disable five advanced US radars in the region.

The American analyst continued: The targeting of American radars has blindsided the United States and Israel; before these radars were destroyed, Israel used to receive early warning of a missile attack 30 minutes before the missiles reached its territory, but now this time has been reduced to one minute, and as a result, the Israelis have much less time to prepare for this threat.

Regarding the success of the American-Israeli attacks, Johnson also said: If the goal of these attacks is to affect a large number of people in a country, it should be said that 70 to 80 percent of Iranians live in different parts of this vast country, but 80 percent of Israelis are concentrated and live in the two cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. Thus, the United States and Israel are forced to target hundreds of cities and regions to break the will of the Iranian people, but Iran achieves its goals only by targeting these two cities. The Israelis are in a great strait, and for this reason they are sending signals indicating a desire for a ceasefire.

Regarding the US military presence in the region, he also said: Washington previously thought it could maintain its bases in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE, but given Iran’s increasing attacks, this has become impossible.

The joint military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which resulted in the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, began on February 28, 2026; this action took place while indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States were underway with the mediation of some regional countries.

Analysts believe that this action showed that the United States does not adhere to the principles of dialogue, trust-building, and peaceful resolution of disputes in practice, and continues to use the military option as a tool of political pressure.

Following the start of the joint military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran provided a decisive, targeted, and proportionate response to this action. As part of this legitimate response, the military and security positions of the Zionist regime in various cities of occupied Palestine, as well as the bases and centers where American forces are deployed in the region were targeted with precise missile, drone, and air strikes.

Officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran have emphasized that these operations were carried out within the framework of the inherent right of self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter and with the aim of deterrence, preventing the continuation of aggression and imposing costs on the aggressors. The Islamic Republic of Iran has warned that any continuation or expansion of aggression will be met with a more severe and extensive response.
