CIA Director: A new ceasefire agreement will be presented in the coming days.
According to the Al-Jazeera network, “William Burns”, the head of the US Central Intelligence Agency, announced that a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Zionist regime will be reached in the coming days.
The CIA chief claimed that a new deal on Gaza would be presented in the coming days, with Burns noting that reaching an exchange agreement would depend on the political will of the leaders of both sides.
Burns claimed to be trying to reach an offer for a swap agreement acceptable to both sides. “We will continue to work with other mediators to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza because there is no alternative,” the CIA chief said.
Burns said: “We are working with Qatar and Egypt on a new and more detailed proposal for an agreement on prisoners and a ceasefire in Gaza, and the new agreement will be presented to Hamas and Israel in the coming days.”
