CNN: Biden’s popularity has reached its lowest level

PNN – The CNN TV channel affiliated with the Democrats announced: following the poor performance of US President Joe Biden, his popularity has reached its lowest level after the debate with Donald Trump, the former president of this country.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the CNN TV channel affiliated with the Democrats (Joe Biden’s party) reported that according to the latest poll of this television network, most of the eligible voters in the United States believe that if Biden is not the candidate, the Democrats have a better chance of keeping the White House.

According to a new CNN poll, three-quarters of American voters believe that the Democratic Party will have a better chance of winning the presidency again in 2024 with someone other than Joe Biden as the primary candidate.

CNN, without providing statistics, also announced: Biden’s popularity has also reached its lowest level after his poor performance in the first presidential debate.

The CNN poll also showed that 49% of Americans nationwide support former US President Donald Trump and 43% support Biden, showing a 6% lead for Trump over Biden.

The CNN poll also showed that Kamala Harris, the vice president of the United States, is close to Trump in a hypothetical race: 47% of voters support Trump and 45% support Harris, a result that shows that there is no clear winner in such a scenario.

Harris’ stronger performance against Trump is at least partly due to the wider support of women (50% of American women support Harris over Trump, compared to 44% of women in the country who support Biden over Trump).

Also, 43% of independents support Harris versus 34% for Biden.

Biden’s approval rating among Democratic voters has risen to 91 percent from 85 percent in April, while 93 percent of Republicans support Trump.

Trump has a nearly 10-fold lead among independents (44 percent to 34 percent in the new poll), while the share of independents who choose neither candidate or say they don’t plan to vote rose from 15 percent to 21 percent.

However, a majority of registered Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters, with 56 percent saying the party would have a better chance at the presidency with someone other than Biden, compared to 43 percent saying the party would have a better chance with him.

After a disastrous debate between US President Joe Biden and Donald Trump, the New York Times editorial board asked Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race. Biden’s poor performance worried his Democratic supporters. The American president looked shaky in front of the camera and at times could hardly finish his sentences. The performance heightened concerns about Biden’s age and readiness for a new term as president.

Shortly after the debate, senior Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris, acknowledged Biden’s “slow start” but emphasized his “strong finish” in the debate, while others suggested privately that he should drop out.

In a move that will add more pressure to the White House, the New York Times Board of Editors suggested in an op-ed on Friday that “the greatest service [Biden] can do the American people now is to announce his withdrawal.”

The article states: “The President did not appear as a great servant of the American people. He barely explained his plan for the second round. He hardly responded to [Trump’s] provocations. He failed to hold [Trump] accountable for his lies, failures, and terrible schemes. More than once he had trouble finishing his sentences.”

Former US President Barack Obama defended Biden in a message on social media. “Bad debate nights happen,” he said, “but this election is still a choice between someone who has spent his whole life fighting for ordinary people and someone who only cares about himself.”
