CNN: Hamas surprised Israel with an old method

PNN – CNN news channel quoted informed Israeli sources and wrote: The reason why the intelligence agents of the Zionist regime and the United States could not identify the surprise attack of Hamas on Israel was because this resistance group used old methods.

According to Pakistan News Network’s report on Wednesday, CNN news channel wrote: According to two well-informed Israeli sources, the information shared by the Zionist regime with the United States indicates that a small unit of Hamas forces launched a deadly surprise attack on Israel within two years through old wired telephones in the underground tunnels of the program.

Wired telephone lines in the tunnels allowed Hamas forces to communicate with each other secretly, the sources told CNN, so Israeli intelligence officials were unable to track them. According to the information provided by these sources, Hamas operatives avoided using computers or mobile phones during this two-year period to avoid detection by Israeli or American intelligence.

The information shows how Hamas planned operations through old counterintelligence measures such as holding face-to-face meetings without using digital means of communication.

According to this American news network, the disclosure of this new information shows why American and Israeli intelligence agents could not predict it before the surprise attack of Hamas on Israel on October 7.

CNN previously reported that some strategic warnings from the American and Israeli intelligence agencies failed to get the attention of any of these officials to predict the October 7 attacks.

The military forces of the Zionist regime refer to the tunnels built by Hamas in the last 15 years as the “Metro of Gaza”. These tunnels are a vast labyrinth that is used to store missiles and as an ammunition warehouse. At the same time, it provides a way for the actions of the resistance forces without attracting the attention of Israeli spy agents. The Israeli army also considers these tunnels to be the vital command and control centers of Hamas.

According to informed sources, Hamas operational forces present in these tunnels were preparing a larger group of fighters on the ground before the attack. One of the sources explained that although the commanders and fighters of the ground unit had been trained for months and were in a state of general readiness, they only learned about the objectives of the attack in the days leading up to the operation.

Another source added that some of the exercises on the ground by the Hamas forces, although they were monitored by the Israeli intelligence forces, still did not raise the alarm for them.

CNN further added that Israel was surprised by the October 7 attack while the army of this regime had encountered a similar communication system this summer by attacking the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank. At that time, the Zionist military announced that it had attacked a joint operational command center in Jenin and added that Hamas had used this communication system for “advanced surveillance and reconnaissance”.

From Saturday, October 15, 2023, the Palestinian resistance forces have launched a comprehensive and extensive operation called “Al-Aqsa Storm” from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories. With the beginning of this operation and the attacks of the Palestinian resistance forces, within 20 minutes, five thousand rockets were launched towards the Zionist positions, and at the same time, Hamas paragliders flew over the occupied territories to make the sky more unsafe for the occupiers than ever.
