CNN: Harris is still ahead of Trump

PNN – In a report based on a summary of the results of four national polls conducted after the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on August 7, CNN announced that although the difference between US Vice President and Democratic Party Candidate Kamala Harris and former US President Donald Trump and Republican Party candidate in the upcoming presidential election has narrowed, Harris is still ahead of Trump.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the CNN report states: The news agency’s summary is based on the results of four recent US national polls, which measured the average opinion of registered voters or likely voters in the country’s 2024 presidential election based on the results of those polls.

According to the results of this summary, an average of 49 percent of the participants in the polls conducted from August 23 to September 6 have declared their support for Harris. While an average of 47% of them have preferred to support Trump, which indicates a 2% advantage for the Democratic Party candidate, while previously, based on a joint poll by Reuters and Ipsos Institute, Harris had a 4% difference from Trump was ahead.

In the meantime, based on the results of the New York Times and Sinai College poll, which was held from September 3rd to 6th, it was found that Trump is even ahead of Harris by one percentage point. Because 48% of the participants in that poll supported the Republican candidate and 47% of them supported the Democratic candidate.

CNN’s summary results also indicate a wide gender gap among likely voters. So that Harris leads the Republican candidate by 11 percentage points (53% to 42%) among female voters, while Trump leads the Democratic candidate by 17 percentage points (56% to 39%) among male voters.

According to CNN’s tally, Harris also leads his Republican rival by 4 percentage points among likely independent voters (48% to 44%). While Trump leads his Democratic rival by 9 percentage points among likely voters who say they did not vote in the 2020 election (49% to 40%).

The news agency’s summary also found that Harris is ahead of Trump by a wide margin among likely black and Latino voters, and has a wide advantage in that regard.

Americans will go to the polls on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 to elect the next president of the United States. The winner of this election will start the four-year presidential term from January 2025.
