CNN reports the arrest statistics of students in less than 15 days.

The crackdown on protesters at Columbia University in New York set off a wave of activity on campuses across the US, which has resulted in more than 1,500 arrests, according to recent reports.

American CNN: More than 1,500 people have been arrested in less than 15 days since the pro-Palestinian student protests began.

More than 400 protesters were arrested on Tuesday.

Of these, about 300 people were arrested at Columbia University and City College of New York.

On the other hand, following the severe suppression of Gaza students and supporters in various American universities, a CNN reporter admitted in a video report of the police raid and the suppression and arrest of pro-Palestinian students at Columbia University: “I have covered many cases around the world and never I have never seen this number of policemen in one area.”

Across America, university administrators have tried — and largely failed — to crack down on pro-Gaza student protests, many of which have seen violent police intervention, with video reports from various states showing that hundreds of students – and even faculty members – have been forcibly arrested. The protesters are demanding amnesty for the students and faculty members who were punished or fired for protesting.

In recent days, police guards and university administrators have clashed with pro-Palestinian protesters in an increasing number of universities across the country, arresting students, dismantling camps, and threatening students with academic consequences.
