PNN – In a report, CNN described Joe Biden’s debate with Donald Trump as “disastrous” and wrote: Democratic leaders have demanded that Biden withdraw from the 2024 election as soon as possible.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, from this media close to the Democrats, more than a dozen current and former Democratic officials, as well as financial supporters and longtime allies of the President of the United States, Joe Biden, believe that Biden should withdraw from his election campaign in an attempt to save the Democratic Party. They say he should announce his resignation this week.
The report added: Democrats have declined to make their request to Biden directly in the hope that he will make the decision himself, but there are signs that Biden has made no move to seriously consider the party’s growing concerns.
Referring to the news of Biden’s aides that he is about to travel to the decisive states, CNN wrote: This is a sign that he has no plans to change course and step down.
Initially, there was hope that the president’s family would convince him to drop out of the Democratic nomination, given Biden’s poor debate performance last week. But they seem to have reached a consensus on his decision to continue his campaign, instead blaming White House staff for his missteps.

The report added: While the Biden campaign insists the debate was just a bad night for the 81-year-old US president, top Democrats insist the problem was not a one-time incident that can be fixed.
Referring to the Supreme Court ruling that gave Trump significant immunity from prosecution, CNN wrote: With this ruling, the risks that already existed from Trump have increased and made these worried Democrats even more determined to insist on Biden’s resignation.
The decision gives the former president a significant legal victory and “makes Trump more dangerous,” said a former Democratic elected official who has supported Biden for years but is now calling for his campaign to end.
Hill: Biden has lost ground against Trump
Meanwhile, the “Hill” news site belonging to the US Congress wrote: A joint survey by USA Today and Suffolk University showed that Trump is three points higher than Biden in a hypothetical competition that also includes third-party and independent candidates. Most respondents said Trump won the debate. Nearly a third of participants also said the debate led them to vote for Trump, while only 10 percent said they decided to vote for Biden after the debate.
Polls also showed that a majority of Democratic voters want the party to step down for Biden in favor of another candidate who has a better chance against Trump.
A CNN poll released yesterday showed that 75% of registered voters believe that Democrats will have a better chance of defeating Trump with a candidate other than Biden. The poll also found that Vice President Kamala Harris, who is expected to be the best possible replacement for Biden if he steps down, is doing better against Trump than Biden.
