CNN’s narration of the tension in the relations between the Zionist regime and Europe

PNN – CNN wrote: Because of the Gaza war and Tel Aviv’s attacks on southern Lebanon, Israel is facing strong criticism from European leaders who are trying to stop Tel Aviv from continuing these wars.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this news channel wrote in this regard: European leaders are trying to use their leverage with measures including a request for a complete halt to arms sales to Israel, a boycott of far-right cabinet ministers in Tel Aviv, and negotiations between EU members on revising Israel’s association agreement with the EU against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of this regime to negotiate a ceasefire.

According to CNN, what have created more motivation to put pressure on the Israeli regime is the attacks of the Zionist army on the headquarters of the UN peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon, which also hosts European soldiers.

Hugh Lovatt, senior expert of the Middle East and North Africa program at the European Council on Foreign Relations based in Berlin, told CNN: Israel’s (regime) relations with the European Union are currently under unprecedented pressure.

This report added: The position of the European Union has changed compared to what the Europeans expressed after the October 7 attack (Operation Al-Aqsa Storm) in expressing their unwavering support for the Israeli regime.

According to experts, the increase in criticism of the Israeli regime is that Washington apparently could not or did not want to put a lot of pressure on this regime in the few weeks left until the presidential elections in November.

Western governments have been frustrated by US diplomacy for at least the past year, and some European Union countries feel the US should have done more to “modify or limit the actions of the Israelis,” Lovat said.

In a veiled criticism on Thursday, the EU’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell, said many people could be killed by then.

CNN wrote: Diplomatic differences between Israel and some European leaders came to light this week.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni also condemned Israel’s (regime) actions in Lebanon, including the military attack on the UN peacekeeping base where about 1,100 Italian soldiers are stationed.

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), Italy is the third largest supplier of weapons to the Israeli regime, providing helicopters and weapons to the regime.

CNN wrote: Experts say that the European Union is not a homogenous bloc, but its members have expressed varying degrees of criticism of Israel.

This media added: When it comes to (regime) Israel, Germany is often an exception in European politics. After the United States, Berlin is the second supplier of weapons to Tel Aviv, and by 2023, it would supply about 30% of the regime’s weapons.
