According to images and videos published on Haredi media and social networks, the regime police used tear gas and sound grenades even in the presence of families carrying their babies and small children in strollers.
In one video, police officers overturn a stroller carrying a baby, and in another, an officer hits the stroller with a baton. These actions have sparked widespread anger in the Haredi community.
The regime police claimed in an official statement that hundreds of protesters had damaged public infrastructure and infiltrated the work site of the light rail project. The police said three officers were injured in the clashes.
