Consequences following the US abduction of Maduro’

According to Al-Ma’ulouma News Agency, Sabah Al-Aqili added: The kidnapping of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife by American forces is an act of international piracy; an act that is rejected by the American people before anyone else.

He continued: The continuation of America’s bullying policy will lead this country to an unknown fate, especially since it is also suffering from severe crises.

The Arabic-speaking expert added: This action by the US President shows that this country does not attach importance to international law and acts according to its own law, and its continuation will have dangerous consequences for Washington at the political and economic levels and will lead America to nowhere.

Al-Aqili stated: The kidnapping of Maduro and his wife will cause many countries to reconsider their relations with the United States and move away from it. The American people are the first to oppose this aggression against a sovereign country and will take a clear stance against Donald Trump’s stupid policies.

On the other hand, political analyst Fadel Abu-Ghaif, referring to the developments in Venezuela, stated: The recent developments in Venezuela are the result of betrayals by the circle around him, and internal factors played a major role in facilitating any foreign movement against him.

The analyst added: According to available information, the American operation was quick and did not last more than 40 minutes, and was carried out based on intelligence efforts and without extensive military intervention, which indicates the level of security penetration in Venezuelan institutions.

He continued: According to available information, the betrayal of the Presidential Guard played a major role in this kidnapping, and Maduro’s relatives accelerated American access to him. Such foreign military movements are usually carried out by eliminating the protection system from within, before any action.

Abu-Ghaif said: Currently, the United States prefers this approach to reduce political and military costs, especially in sensitive regions of Latin America.

He emphasized: The developments in Venezuela have once again shown the danger of internal penetration. The overthrow or weakening of regimes does not begin at the borders, but within closed rooms.

On the morning of Saturday, January 3, 2026 Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, along with the states of Miranda, Aragua, and La Guaira, were the scene of attacks by US forces, which resulted in the death of several civilians.

The Venezuelan government called the action a “military invasion” and, while declaring a state of emergency, called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council.

US President Donald Trump then announced the kidnapping of Maduro and his wife.
