These sources also mentioned the wounding of a group of Palestinians east of the town of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, as well as the firing of tanks and heavy military equipment by the Zionist military on the town of Beit Hanoun in northern Gaza, and the firing at Palestinian homes in the Tel Sultan neighborhood west of the city of Rafah in the south.

At the same time, the Israeli artillery fired a light shell at the Al-Saudy neighborhood in the west of Rafah. The Israeli military also fired heavy weapons at the Salah al-Din axis in the south of Rafah.

Local sources also reported widespread flights by Israeli drones over the central and eastern areas of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.

The Zionist regime, with the full support of the United States, launched a devastating war against the residents of the Gaza Strip for more than 15 months starting on October 7, 2023, but it did not achieve its goals of destroying the Hamas movement and returning Israeli prisoners through war, and was forced to agree to a ceasefire with the movement on January 19, 2025. The implementation of this agreement included three stages, each stage of which was supposed to last 42 days.

After the end of the first phase of this agreement, which led to the gradual release of 33 Zionist prisoners in exchange for the release of more than 1,700 Palestinian prisoners, the Netanyahu government, under various pretexts and with the aim of resuming the war to destroy Hamas, attempted to extend the first phase and release all Zionist prisoners, but it faced serious opposition from Hamas.
