Controversial remarks by Tel Aviv military official about the situation in the Israeli army.
According to Ma’an, Eyal Zamir, the Chief of Staff of the Israeli army, made controversial statements regarding the regime’s performance and admitted that the army occupying Jerusalem is facing a severe shortage of manpower.
He added, “It will be very difficult for the army to achieve many of the goals announced by the cabinet. Hamas still controls the military and civilian sectors of the Gaza Strip after a year and a half since the start of the war.”
Zamir added that the Israeli cabinet insists that no alternative be proposed for the Hamas movement in Gaza. The war’s goals have not been achieved in the Gaza Strip either. He said, “The complete occupation of Gaza will take several years and require the presence of tens of thousands of troops.”
The Yedioth Aharonot newspaper also wrote: “Hamas continues its strategic policies, including protecting its military power despite repeated attacks.”
