PNN – Criticizing the policy of the Joe Biden government in Gaza, the former official of the US State Department said: Washington is not concerned about the suffering of the Palestinians and follows the interests of Israel.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Al Jazeera website wrote: Michael Casey, the former political deputy of the Office of Palestinian Affairs in the US State Department, called Washington’s policy in Gaza “shameful” and said: It is quite shameful that the American government has surrendered to the demands of Israel and supports it despite knowing that its actions in Gaza are wrong.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, he said: He has never seen anything like this during his career.
After four years in the US State Department post, Casey resigned last July in protest at what he described as the US administration’s “unwavering support for Israel despite its destructive actions in Gaza.”
The resignation of this American official, the report of which was first published in the English newspaper The Guardian, is the latest sign of the anger of an American official over the military and diplomatic support of the Joe Biden administration to the Israeli regime since the beginning of the Gaza war.
Casey said in an interview with Al-Jazeera: The US government is aware of the worsening situation in Gaza, including widespread casualties and the lack of humanitarian aid in this area, but still continues its policies and supports the Israeli army in this area.

He said in an interview with Al Jazeera on Saturday: My job has primarily been to report on the situation in Gaza, from humanitarian concerns to economic and political issues. The American authorities received all our reports but did not pay attention.
This former American official said: He believes that part of the American government’s policy is because it “doesn’t care about the pain and suffering of the Palestinians.”
He said: We ignore the pain and suffering of the Palestinians and accept the narrative (regime) of Israel about the events, while they are not true, and we really pursue Israel’s interests more than our own.
Al-Jazeera wrote that more than 45,000 Palestinians have been martyred in the Gaza Strip with the continued attacks of the Zionist regime.
The war in Gaza has caused a humanitarian crisis in this region, and UN experts and leading human rights groups hold the Israeli army (regime) responsible for war crimes, including genocide.
The United States claims that it is working to maintain the ceasefire and the release of prisoners in Gaza, and has pressured the Israeli regime to reduce civilian casualties in its military operations.
However, the Biden administration has refused to stop aid to the Zionist regime as a means of pressuring this regime to end the war and has opposed requests to suspend the transfer of weapons to its main ally.
This has provoked anger and criticism, and the Democratic President of the United States has been called “Joe the Genocide”.
