PNN – The Cuban president declared: The best way to prevent (American) aggression is for imperialism to calculate the cost of attacking our country, and this has a lot to do with our readiness for military action.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing AFP, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel defended his country’s military readiness exercises as a deterrent against possible US aggression.
In this regard, the Cuban President supervised the military exercises of his country’s armed forces.
He was accompanied by General Alvaro Lopez Miera, the Minister of the Armed Forces of Cuba, and other high-ranking military officials.
In remarks broadcast on Cuban television, Diaz-Canel said: The best way to prevent (American) aggression is for imperialism to calculate the cost of attacking our country, and this has a lot to do with our readiness for this type of military action… This issue assumes considerable importance in the current circumstances.
This is despite US President Donald Trump having previously claimed, with the aim of intimidating Havana, that Cuba was “ready to fall” unless it “made a deal” or paid a similar price to Venezuela.
