Damascus’s harsh reaction to the Zionist regime’s attack on Syria

Damascus

PNN – The Syrian Foreign Ministry has responded to the brutal attack carried out by the Israeli regime against a residential area on the outskirts of Damascus.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Ikhbariyah, the Foreign Ministry affiliated with the self-proclaimed Jolani government issued a statement saying that the attack by occupying forces on the Beit Jinn area, following the failure of their operation, was deliberate and savage, and amounts to a full-fledged war crime.

The statement said the occupying forces committed a horrific crime by killing more than ten civilians, including women and children. It added that the continued attacks on residential areas have caused the large-scale displacement of residents in Beit Jinn.

The statement further emphasized that Israeli occupying authorities bear full responsibility for this dangerous act of aggression and the resulting casualties and destruction. It warned that the continuation of such criminal assaults threatens the security and stability of the region.

The ministry called on the UN Security Council, the United Nations, and the Arab League to act immediately to stop the repeated aggressions of the Zionist occupiers against the Syrian people.

The Foreign Ministry added that Syria remains committed to its legitimate right to defend the country and its people through all legal means, and that such crimes will only increase Syria’s opposition to all forms of occupation and aggression.

Earlier, Al-Ikhbariyah reported that Israeli military helicopters were flying over the Beit Jinn area in the Damascus countryside.

The Syrian outlet also reported the entry of two tanks and four Israeli military vehicles into the outskirts of the town of Beit Jinn.

At the same time, the Syrian Relief and Rescue Organization announced that rescue teams still cannot reach the Beit Jinn area to provide aid to the wounded.

The organization stated that the occupiers continue to target any movement at the entrances of the area, making it impossible for relief groups to access it—creating conditions that threaten the lives of civilians.

A correspondent for Al-Ikhbariyah reported that 13 people were killed and 25 wounded in the Israeli attack on Beit Jinn.

In the early hours of Friday morning, a group of Israeli soldiers entered the town of Beit Jinn.

This time, unlike previous incidents, the Israeli incursion was met with resistance from local youths, and in a surprise for the Israelis, six of their soldiers were seriously wounded, with traces of their blood visible on the streets.
