PNN – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents shot and killed the attacker after claiming that a vehicle had rammed into a group of agents near Chicago.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing ABC News, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement says it has shot and killed a man after he drove a car into a group of officers.
A Department of Homeland Security spokesman said immigration officers were trying to detain the man, but he resisted and drove a car toward the officers. One of the officers, who was hit, immediately opened fire, killing the attacker. The attacker died shortly after being taken to a hospital, officials said.

The US Immigration Police said the man had a history of dangerous driving and was on a list of illegal immigrants. A spokesman for the local police department in the Franklin Park area said that the center’s officers were not involved in the incident.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker wrote in a message on social media that this matter is not over and the people of Illinois have the right to hear a full and truthful account of what happened today to ensure transparency and accountability.
Franklin Park, with a population of about 18,000, is located near Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, and half of its population is Hispanic (of Latin American origin).
