“Death to the IDF” chant at British music festival; Tel Aviv in isolation.

According to Al Jazeera, since the criminal face of the Zionist regime was exposed following the regime’s brutal crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip, a great wave of global hatred against the Zionists has been unleashed, and we see the dimensions of this disgust and hatred in various international circles. This time, the famous English singer “Bob Whelan” took to the stage on Saturday, June 28, at the famous Glastonbury music festival, which is held annually in Somerset, England, and invited the audience to chant the slogan “Free Palestine.”

The slogan “Death to the Israeli army” at the English music festival

He condemned England and the United States for their complicity in the crimes of the Zionist regime’s genocide against the people of Gaza and expressed hope that one day the Palestinian people would be freed from the oppression of the Zionists. Then his tone changed and he chanted the slogan “Death to the Israeli army,” and the audience also joined him. This action by Bob Whelan became a news bombshell not only in the English media but also in other Western and even regional media.

The Israeli embassy in the UK described the slogans as provocative and hateful rhetoric, claiming that Bob Whelan’s slogans and statements were a call for ethnic cleansing against Jews.

The BBC broadcast the program live and then expressed regret, deemed Whelan’s slogans unacceptable, and announced that these slogans had no place on BBC programs.

British police have also launched a criminal investigation into Bob Whelan’s statements and slogans, as well as the Irish band K-N-Cup. The US State Department has also revoked Bob Whelan’s visa and prevented him from performing concerts scheduled in the United States later this year.

Exposing the West’s Double Standards on Freedom of Expression and Human Rights

While covering the events of the Glastonbury Music Festival, the Western media, while ignoring the brutal crimes and genocide of the Zionist occupation regime against the people of Gaza, began to condemn Bob Whelan’s statements that he had supported the Palestinian nation.

These media did not mention the horrific images of Gaza, such as children with their arms and legs cut off and crying for their martyred mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers, and condemned Bob Whelan’s slogans with false justifications.

In response to this wave of condemnation of Bob Whelan by the British, American, and other Western-affiliated media, British journalist Jonathan Cook announced that we are putting everything aside and asking what exactly Tel Aviv has planned for Gaza. The plan that the Zionist army has prepared for the displaced and hungry people of Gaza, claiming to provide them with aid, allows the army to gather all Palestinians in southern Gaza, and there is no guarantee that it will not bomb them.
