PNN – Russia announced it has handed over decrypted documents from downed drones in the Novgorod region to the representative of the U.S. embassy’s military attaché office, which confirms Kyiv’s attack on Putin’s residence.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network citing Sputnik, the Military Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces General Staff announced: Decryption of information from the controllers of Ukrainian drones, which were shot down on December 29, 2025, in the airspace of the Novgorod region, has definitively confirmed that they attacked the complex of buildings of the Russian President’s residence.

The Russian Ministry of Defense also announced that it has handed over decrypted documents from the downed drone to the representative of the U.S. embassy’s military attaché office, and transferring the data to the American side will resolve all of Washington’s questions and help reveal the facts.

The ministry’s report stated: Evidence containing decrypted data on the routing and controller of the Ukrainian drone, which was hit by air defense forces over the Novgorod region on December 29, has been handed over to the representative of the U.S. embassy’s military attaché office.

The Russian Foreign Minister stated a few days ago that Ukraine attempted to target Putin’s residence in the Novgorod region using a drone. Sergey Lavrov, in response to this attack, warned that Russia will change its position in negotiations with Ukraine and that Ukraine’s actions will not go unanswered.
