Deep rift in Tel Aviv-Paris relations; French representatives’ anger at Zionists.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the Yedioth Aharonot newspaper reported that a major rift has emerged in diplomatic relations between the Israeli regime and France.
The report emphasizes that the rift arose after French President Emmanuel Macron’s statements regarding Paris’ intention to recognize the state of Palestine.
According to the report, Tel Aviv responded to these statements by revoking the visas of a group of 27 French representatives. Members of the French delegation were outraged by the Israeli regime’s move and called on Macron to take a firm stance.
It should be noted that yesterday, the Israeli regime revoked the visas of a group of 27 left-wing French representatives just days before their planned trip to the occupied Palestinian territories.
Accordingly, Tel Aviv used a law that allows Israeli authorities to ban the entry of people who are unfriendly to the regime.
