Defiance within the US State Department regarding the White House’s stance on the Gaza conflict.
The Huffington Post website reported that the Joe Biden administration’s approach to the continued violence in the Palestinian issue has increased tensions in the US State Department.
Officials with knowledge told this American website that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and his top advisers are witnessing widespread domestic frustration. Some State Department staff feel that Blinken and his team are unwilling to listen to the advice of their own experts while they focus on supporting the expansion of Israel’s operations in Gaza.
A US State Department official said: “Basically, there is a growing disobedience at all levels in the State Department.”

Two officials told The Huffington Post that diplomats are preparing for what is a “difficult line.” The “dispute line” is a confidential communication channel for criticism of US policy that goes through a protected internal channel to US State Department officials.
The Line of Dispute is a secret communication channel designed during the Vietnam War after American diplomats’ advice against the war was repeatedly ignored.
This uproar in the US State Department comes when Josh Paul, a veteran official of the ministry, resigned on Wednesday. After a decade of working on arms deals, he said he could not morally support US military aid to Israel.
After resigning, he also emphasized that there are many people who feel the same way and it is difficult for them.
