Demonstration in New York in support of Gaza’
Holding placards with slogans such as “End the genocide in Gaza” and “No to unconditional US support for Israel,” the demonstrators marched through the streets of New York, chanting slogans such as “Freedom for Palestine” and calling for an immediate end to the war and siege of Gaza.
The rally was held in the wake of a growing wave of public support for the Palestinian people around the world.
The participants in the demonstration also condemned the silence of the international community towards the ongoing crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, calling it an indirect partner in these violations.
According to IRNA, Bernie Sanders, an independent senator from Vermont, had previously called for an end to unconditional US support for the Zionist regime.
In an interview with the Guardian newspaper, Sanders emphasized that it is time for the United States to end its unconditional support for Benjamin Netanyahu’s extremist cabinet, which is committing genocide against the people of Gaza and deliberately starving them to death.
Sanders had previously emphasized in statements that Washington’s support for Benjamin Netanyahu’s war against the Palestinian people is a terrible thing.
The American senator emphasized: It is necessary to stop all US military aid to Israel (regime).
Sanders had previously said in a Senate hearing on US relations with the occupation regime: We are complicit in all the deaths and suffering that are taking place in Gaza.
The Zionist regime launched a war against the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, with two main goals: to destroy the Hamas movement and return the Zionist prisoners from the region, but it failed to achieve these goals and was forced to reach an agreement with the Hamas movement to exchange prisoners.
