This rally was held on the eve of the vote on the bill presented by the Social Democrats in the Irish Parliament, which called for economic and diplomatic sanctions against the Zionist regime.
The party also demanded the cancellation of the diplomatic credentials of Dana Ehrlich, the ambassador of the Zionist regime in Ireland.
Holly Cairns, leader of the Irish Social Democrats, said: “Just condemning with words is not enough.”
He criticized the Irish government for proposing amendments to nullify the proposed sanctions against the Zionist regime and emphasized: “The opposition of most Western leaders to the demand to stop the war and cease-fire in Gaza has led to the death of thousands of people. Israel has committed massacres by escaping from punishment. According to the World Health Organization, Gaza has now become a children’s cemetery.
This Irish politician continued: “Just condemning in words is not enough. We need action. Israel must suffer consequences for its crimes against the civilian population of Gaza, which it has captured.
Matt Carty, a senior member of Ireland’s Sinn Fein ruling party, said: “The response of the international community to the bombing of Gaza by the Zionist regime is shameful.”
