PNN – Supporters of Palestine chanted in support of the people of Gaza by gathering outside the venue of the awarding ceremony for the best TV productions in America known as the “Emmy” award.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the American website “Variety” wrote: On Sunday night, before the start of the ceremony, pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the red carpet of the ceremony.
They chanted as they marched down Figova Street leading to the venue near the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Many of them were wearing headscarves and holding placards.
On one of the placards it was written: There is no justification for killing children, hashtag; Free Palestine.
This is not the first time that cultural and film award ceremonies in America become a stage for protestors to shout at Hollywood executives, experts and famous people.
Last year, the “Academy” awards ceremony, with the official name of Oscar, to recognize artistic and technical merits in the film industry, was delayed due to protests against the Zionist regime’s war in Gaza.
A few weeks ago, at the Toronto International Film Festival, protests by Palestinian supporters disrupted the ceremony and their slogans echoed in this cultural event.
