Depriving the Palestinians of aid is equivalent to their death sentence

PNN – The Secretary General of the Arab League condemned the denial of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Xinhua, Ahmed Abul Ghait, Secretary General of the Arab League, said that depriving Palestinians in the Gaza Strip of vital first aid is equivalent to a “death sentence and mass punishment”.

The Secretary General of the Arab League made these statements in a meeting with Sigrid Kag, the UN’s Senior Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs and Gaza Reconstruction at the League’s headquarters in Cairo.

According to the organization’s statement, Abu al-Ghait attributed the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where more than 2 million people live, to “the green light that some major powers gave to Israel for heinous and inhumane acts of aggression.”

Abu al-Ghait emphasized once again that the priority at this stage is to achieve an immediate ceasefire, stop the bloodshed and prevent a possible famine in Gaza.

The statement of the Arab League about the meeting of the Secretary General of the League with the United Nations High Coordinator said that both sides agreed that the return of the Palestinian Authority to the Gaza Strip is “an urgent necessity for reconstruction”.

The Ministry of Health of Gaza announced on Sunday that the escalation of tensions by the Zionist regime has so far resulted in the martyrdom of 30,410 Palestinians and the wounding of 71,700 others.
