PNN – An American media outlet revealed the Israeli regime’s new proposal to the Golani regime for a security agreement.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Axios, citing an informed source, announced that the Israeli regime has presented a detailed proposal for a new security agreement to the Golani regime, which includes a map from southwest of Damascus to the border with the occupied territories.

According to this report, Asaad Al-Shaibani, the Foreign Minister of the Golani regime, and Ron Dermer, the Minister of Strategic Affairs of the Israeli regime, discussed and exchanged views on this proposal in London on Wednesday, in the presence of US envoy Tom Barak.

Axios further wrote that the Israeli proposal would divide southwest Damascus into three areas, each with different security arrangements.

According to this American media outlet, the proposal is based on expanding the buffer zone on Syrian territory, and the presence of military forces and heavy weapons on the border with the occupied territories is prohibited.

According to Axios, based on the Israeli regime’s proposal, the entire southwest region of Damascus up to the border with the occupied territories will be a no-fly zone for Syrian aircraft.

The American media outlet, citing an informed source, wrote that Israel, in its proposal, seeks to maintain an air corridor to Iran through Syria for possible future attacks.

Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government, the Abu Muhammad al-Julani regime has shown various signals regarding fundamental changes in the Syrian political discourse and has announced its readiness for an open policy and normalization of relations with the Zionist regime.

During the first half of 2025, regional and European mediators stepped in to create a communication channel between Damascus and Tel Aviv. Available reports indicated that the new Syrian regime is not only ready to sign a compromise agreement with the Zionist side, but is also prepared to recognize the territorial integrity of the Zionist regime over the occupied Golan Heights on the condition of economic guarantees in the form of a reduction or lifting of Western sanctions.

It is worth noting that the Golani regime has not yet taken any action against the repeated aggressions of the Zionist regime, and since the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime, the regime has repeatedly targeted the country with its attacks or violated its territorial integrity.
