Details of the possible ceasefire agreement in Gaza according to Israeli media

PNN – Since last night, the Israeli media have focused on publishing the details of the possible ceasefire agreement and exchange of prisoners with Hamas and the disputed issues between the two sides.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Channel 12 of the Zionist regime’s TV reported that Mossad head David Barnia presented the “initial document” of a possible prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas to the war council, which includes the release of 35 Israeli prisoners in the first phase in exchange for a 35-day ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

According to this report, 35 Israeli prisoners will include women, the elderly and the wounded, so that a one-day ceasefire will be established for each prisoner. There is a possibility of extending this ceasefire for another week and negotiating the completion of the second stage, and it will include the release of all prisoners, even those whom Hamas calls military, and on the other hand, the Palestinian prisoners, whose hands are stained with the blood of the Zionists, according to Tel Aviv, are also included in this.

Channel 12 of Zionist TV reported that it will be difficult for Zionists and political authorities to digest the issue of releasing these prisoners, and the debate in Israel is not only about how many Palestinian prisoners will be released, but also about which prisoners will be released and therefore “until the moment of adjustment”. According to this report, no agreement has been reached on the number of (Palestinian) prisoners who will be released. However, “the ball is now in the court of Hamas, which has not yet given an answer to the mediators regarding this proposal.”

On the other hand, Yediot Aharonot newspaper reported last night that Hamas insists on the release of three Palestinian prisoners, only one of whom is a member of this movement. In the list that Hamas is expected to present, “there are big names that can change the face of the Palestinian Authority, and at the head of them is Marwan Barghouti, the leader of Fatah, who is the candidate for the presidency of the Palestinian Authority in the last poll conducted in the West Bank.

Meanwhile, Al Barghouti, who was arrested in 2002, has been sentenced to five life sentences and 40 years in prison for the anti-Israel operation during which five Israelis were killed and several others were injured.

According to this newspaper, the second name that Hamas insists should be on the prisoner exchange list is Ahmed Saadat, the Secretary General of the People’s Front for the Liberation of Palestine, who was captured in 2001 on the charge of planning to assassinate the Minister of Tourism of the Israeli regime, Rahboam Zeifi. Earlier, during the exchange of Palestinian prisoners with Gilad Shalit in 2001, Israel did not bear the burden of releasing this Palestinian leader in any way. Like Al-Barghouthi, he is one of the popular and influential figures in the Palestinian society. But the third prisoner, Abdullah al-Barghouti, is a member of Hamas and one of the commanders of the military branch of this movement in the West Bank, who was sentenced to 67 years in prison in an unprecedented sentence.

This news is published while Hamas has not yet reacted to these Israeli media reports. Only “Osame Hamdan”, one of the leaders of Hamas, stated on Wednesday that the resistance is investigating the prisoner exchange case and finding guarantees about Israel’s adherence to any agreement in this regard, although the biggest guarantee is “our ability to respond to aggression in various fields”.

He emphasized that “Hamas is considering an understanding with various resistance forces to give a unified answer to the mediators”.

Referring to the fact that Hamas is considering a draft for a ceasefire and exchange of prisoners, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar announced that “we have reached good moments that we were far from 2 weeks ago”.
