Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed reported that two Russian sources have reported on the possible meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin and its location.
Reuters quoted the two sources as saying on Monday that the two will meet.
The two sources added that Russia believes that the meeting will take place in Saudi Arabia or the UAE.
Yesterday, Trump confirmed that his administration has plans to meet and talk with various parties, including Ukraine and Russia.
Russian officials have repeatedly denied any direct contact with the United States about preparing for a telephone conversation between Trump and Putin ahead of their possible meeting this year. However, two Russian sources, who did not give their names due to the sensitivity of the matter, said that senior Russian officials have visited Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in recent weeks.
So far, the UAE and Saudi Arabia have not responded to the issue, and the Kremlin has also declined to comment.
