Doctors without borders: The amount of destruction in al-Shafa hospital in Gaza is shocking

PNN – The Doctors Without Borders organization announced that it was shocked by the amount of destruction in the Al-Shafa hospital complex in the west of Gaza City after the attack by the Zionist regime.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Anatoly, the Doctors Without Borders organization emphasized by publishing a statement: The largest hospital in the Gaza Strip is out of order and due to the terrible amount of destruction in this hospital, the people of Gaza have very limited options for receiving health services in the north of the Gaza Strip.

Doctors Without Borders added: It was impossible to access Shafa Hospital during its occupation by the Israeli military, and the patients hospitalized there were denied medical services.

According to the information of the World Health Organization, between March 18 and 31, Al-Shafa Hospital was under siege by the Zionist occupying forces, 107 people were besieged inside the hospital and 21 patients died.

In this regard, the World Health Organization stated: Although we do not have the exact statistics of the wounded, but based on the news, hundreds of them, including the health care workers, have lost their lives. Also, the bodies of the victims were scattered on the streets. In addition, the medical staff and other people in and around the hospital were collectively arrested.

On Monday, the Israeli army retreated from al-Shafa hospital and its surrounding areas. During the two weeks of occupation of this hospital, the soldiers of this regime left a huge destruction and a terrible human disaster. They also set fire to a large part of the hospital buildings and houses around it.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, which closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip with the support of the United States and some Western countries in order to retaliate against the attacks, compensate for its defeat and stop the resistance operations. These crimes caused Tel Aviv authorities to be presented to the International Court of Justice on the charge of “genocide”.
