Qatar’s foreign minister also added: “We do not find enough voice to end the oppression against the people of Gaza and we emphasize the necessity of providing aid and stopping the policy of displacement and forced migration of Palestinians.” We also condemn the provocative Israeli statements that undermine the existing efforts to free the prisoners. Solving this crisis requires continuous communication, efforts to reduce the deterioration of the situation, mobilizing international efforts and strengthening the role of the United Nations.
However, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, who is in New York, last night stated that Qatar has supported the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) for years and called for the release of Israeli prisoners and said that the immediate release of the “hostages” is the responsibility of Doha. .
He also claimed that we never attacked children, women and civilians. We only attack Hamas positions. We protect our people against rockets, but Hamas uses people to protect its rockets.
The Foreign Minister of Qatar continued today in a press conference with Fidan: The only solution is continuous and comprehensive peace to protect the rights of the Palestinian people according to international resolutions and the Arab initiative. The region is concerned about the responsibility of the international community to stop what is happening in Gaza and end the current double standard.
He added: After the release of four [captives] with the cooperation of Egypt, we saw progress regarding the issue of prisoners. We continue all talks for the release of prisoners and continue negotiations to achieve positive results. The war in Gaza must be stopped, humanitarian corridors should be opened, and political negotiations should begin to achieve peace.
