PNN – The Dutch military intelligence agency (MIVD) said in a statement that China’s cyber espionage is more widespread than previously thought, and that military companies and Western governments are the main targets of this espionage.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Reuters wrote, this agency emphasized: the targets of this cyber espionage include dozens of Western governments, international organizations and several companies active in the defense industry.
The Dutch military intelligence agency said that a hacker group affiliated with the Chinese government, which launched a cyber-attack on the Dutch Ministry of Defense in 2023, has victimized at least 20,000 people around the world in recent months.

In April, the MIVD agency announced in a report that Chinese hacker spies had targeted the Dutch aerospace, semiconductor and maritime industries in order to help the Chinese military.
China has always denied Western accusations of cyber-attack and spying on them. Meanwhile, China’s Ministry of Security announced the theft of the country’s confidential information in the cloud last week and warned: They [foreign spies] are trying to steal our sensitive information and classified data through various methods including cyber-attacks and sending Trojan viruses, which is a serious threat to personal privacy and national security.
