Economic impasse in Tel Aviv; 60,000 Zionist companies closed as a result of the Gaza war.

According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli tourism industry in 2024 went through a difficult situation, the severity of which was no less than the chaotic tourism situation in 2020 and 2021 as a result of the outbreak of the Corona epidemic. The genocide that the Israeli regime launched in the Gaza Strip during this period was the main factor in the decline of tourism in the occupied territories.

Al Jazeera described the war in Gaza and the successive attacks by Iran, Yemen and Lebanon on the occupied territories and the repeated suspension of flights by international airlines to the occupied territories, which sometimes lasted for several months and some of them have still not resumed their flights, as the main factor in the bankruptcy of the Israeli tourism industry.

The tourism industry and the arrival of tourists to the occupied territories in 2024 decreased by 70% compared to the previous year and by more than 80% compared to the peak of tourist arrivals to the occupied territories before the Corona epidemic.

Data from the Israeli Bureau of Statistics shows that the number of tourists entering the occupied territories during the first 11 months of 2024 was 885,000. This is while this figure was 2.95 million in the same period last year.

This situation follows while the Israeli cabinet has no plan to encourage tourism in the occupied territories as a result of the war. As a result of these events, more than 60,000 small and medium-sized companies and projects have closed in 2024, which is an increase of about 50 percent compared to previous years.

Although there are no accurate statistics on the number of tourism companies closed in the occupied territories, the report states that the tourism sector is one of the sectors most damaged as a result of the Gaza war, and most companies in this sector have been affected or closed.
