PNN – Egypt’s Foreign Minister responded to the controversies surrounding the country’s gas deal with Israel and speculations about President Sisi’s possible trip to the U.S. coinciding with Netanyahu’s visit.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting Russia Al-Youm, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atti emphasized that there are no plans for President Abdel Fattah Sisi to travel abroad until the end of this year.

He stated that next year, bilateral meetings between Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump will be held within the framework of their strategic relations.

Abdel-Atti stressed that linking Egypt’s gas deal with Israel to political positions is unjustified. He described the agreement as purely an economic and commercial contract between Egyptian, American, and Israeli companies.

He added that political matters have no connection to this contract and warned against using it as a tool to influence domestic affairs in Egypt.

It is worth noting that Egypt’s massive gas deal with Israel has sparked widespread protests amid the ongoing bloody genocide in the Gaza Strip.
