Egypt unveils plan to rebuild Gaza Strip.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati unveiled his country’s plan for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, stating that Egypt’s vision for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip has been completed in coordination with the United Nations, the World Bank, and the Palestinian Authority.
He added that the date of the Cairo conference on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip will be determined after the announcement of the ceasefire agreement.
Abdel Ati said that the Cairo conference on the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip will include practical workshops that will include security measures for the Gaza Strip and its governance and who will manage it.
He added that the vision is for a party other than the Palestinian groups to take over the management of the Gaza Strip for six months, after which the PA will be established to emphasize the connection of Gaza with the West Bank.
The Egyptian foreign minister said that the most important priority after the first six months of the ceasefire is the early recovery through the consolidation of the presence of the Palestinian people in their land in the Gaza Strip.
Abdel Ati stressed that the international community opposes any plan to displace Palestinians.
