Egyptian analysts: Cairo should not remain neutral to Tel Aviv’s actions in Rafah

PNN – Three Egyptian analysts asked the government of this country not to be neutral towards the actions of the Zionist regime at the Rafah crossing on the southern border of the Gaza Strip with Egypt and to take a serious position towards it.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Rai Elyoum newspaper, the Egyptian analyst “Farouk Jawedeh” said about the attack of the Zionist regime army on the east of Rafah city in the south of the Gaza Strip: The attack on Rafah will not bring victory to America and Israel and will not open the doors to those who left the Palestinian nation alone.

He added: History will judge everyone and will record the stability of the Palestinian nation against the American and Israeli campaigns.

“Alia Al-Mahdi”, the former head of the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences, also said about the Zionist regime’s attack on the Rafah crossing: Israel’s presence in the Rafah crossing is contrary to the compromise agreement between Tel Aviv and Cairo, and Cairo should have military activity on the Egyptian border with the southern Gaza Strip, because the situation has passed the stage of expressing disgust and protest, and they must be countered in kind.

“Osameh Kamel”, another Egyptian analyst, also said: Egypt’s dealing with Israel as a neutral party entails a great danger, the consequences of which will be terrible.

On May 6, 2024, despite international opposition, the Zionist regime’s war cabinet approved the ground attack on the east of Rafah city.

The army of the occupied Quds regime occupied the Palestinian part of the Rafah crossing in the east of this city, and thus, Rafah is witnessing heavy shelling and airstrikes by the Israeli regime. And by attacking the Rafah crossing, this regime closed the only communication crossing of the Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip with the outside world and prevents the entry of humanitarian aid and fuel into this area.

This operation began only hours after the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced that it had accepted the ceasefire proposal of Egypt and Qatar; But the Zionist regime claimed that this proposal does not meet the essential demands of this regime.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has announced in its latest statistics that since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, 34 thousand 943 Palestinian citizens have been martyred and 78 thousand 572 others have been injured, and about seven thousand Palestinians are also missing and still are under the rubble.
