Egyptian media: Israeli cabinet is under full control of Washington.
Cairo News Network wrote in a report by Sameh Jeris: Israeli analysts revealed that the Trump administration has sent warning and firm messages to the Israeli cabinet in recent days. These warnings were made during intensive visits to the occupied territories by several high-ranking American officials, including Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
They warned Tel Aviv officials during a meeting about violating the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as Washington is concerned that Israel will use its close ties with the United States to circumvent the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
Permanent presence of Americans
Yossi Werther, a political analyst for the Zionist newspaper Haaretz, wrote in an article titled “Even Americans are suspicious of Netanyahu: Is he playing a double game?”Since Trump visited the Knesset (Israeli parliament), there has been almost no day without high-ranking American officials being present in Israel. The main purpose of this constant presence is to directly monitor Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire in Gaza.
According to Werther, Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff are permanently stationed in occupied Palestine, while Vance returned to the occupied territories, Rubio is scheduled to leave on Saturday, and the CIA director will soon arrive in the region.
The analyst also revealed that a US command center has been established in the Zionist settlement of Kiryat Gat, where Kushner and Witkoff attended an Israeli cabinet meeting, met with officers, listened to their speeches, and even issued instructions.
Werther added that when Hamas targeted an Israeli soldier and two soldiers were killed, Trump, contrary to usual practice, refrained from repeating the common Israeli slogans such as “all Palestinians are Hamas,” and considered the attack an action by Hamas and ordered the ceasefire to be stopped.
A Hard Stick Behind the Smiles
Yoav Limor, a military analyst for the Israel Hayom newspaper, also wrote about this: These trips, mixed with hugs and smiles, are for show to the world public opinion, but inwardly, they serve as a kind of strict surveillance to ensure control of the situation.
He emphasized that the messages of the Americans in all the meetings have been clear and firm, and they have warned that any violation of the ceasefire will be met with a strong response.
According to Werther, Vance said in a press conference: “Israel is not a subordinate or trustee country… We do not take care of it like a child.” But next to him, Netanyahu seems very anxious, because he knows very well the heavy consequences of such statements.
Werther continued: As long as the Americans are present in “Israel” and are closely monitoring Netanyahu, there is no need to worry, because behind their diplomatic language, a hard stick is hidden.
