Elon Musk to Trump: If it weren’t for me, you wouldn’t be president; how ungrateful you are.
In his speech today, US President Donald Trump sharply criticized his friend and former colleague Elon Musk, saying that his opposition to the US tax cut plan was due to Musk’s personal interests.
He said in these words: “I always liked Elon and it has always been amazing to me. You saw what he said about me, he didn’t say anything bad about me in his words. I would rather he criticize me than this bill [the US tax cut bill], because this bill is wonderful.”
Trump added in these words: “We are doing incredible things in this bill. When you look at what we are doing for small businesses, for people, for middle-income people, all the things we are doing, nobody has ever seen anything like this.”
He continued, “Elon is upset because we eliminated the electric car subsidy, which was a huge cost for these electric cars.” They have a problem with this and want us to pay billions of dollars in subsidies.
Referring to Musk’s departure from his administration, Trump said, “There are a lot of good things happening in the Oval Office. I’m telling you, he’s not the first person to leave my administration, and he loves us. Some of these people get so homesick here at some point that some accept i,t and some take a hostile stance.
In response to Trump’s statements, Elon Musk called Trump “ungrateful” and attributed his victory in the election to his support, writing on Page X: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, the Democrats would have taken control of the House of Representatives, and the Republicans would have been in the minority in the Senate by a ratio of 49 to 51.”
