Britain, Denmark, France, Greece and Slovenia have also submitted a formal request for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss Israel’s plan to occupy the Gaza Strip.
These supports for the convening of the Security Council meeting come amid growing international efforts to respond to Israel’s escalation.
Previously, the Palestinian Authority’s representative to the United Nations had announced that several countries would soon request a Security Council meeting on Gaza.
While announcing this news, Riyad Mansour added that something must be done as soon as possible to prevent the occupation of Gaza City by the Zionist regime.
What needs to be done now is to establish peace and feed the Palestinians in Gaza, not massacre them.
We are facing a critical moment and the war in Gaza must not continue.
