Emir of Qatar: The Palestinian people should not be oppressed by the occupiers.
According to Al Jazeera, Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar, during his speech at the 78th annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, addressed various issues, including the Palestinian issue.
At the beginning of his speech, the Emir of Qatar expressed his country’s solidarity with the nations of Morocco and Libya and the victims of earthquakes and floods in these two African countries.
Referring to the rapid evolution of technology and increasing reliance on it, he said: This issue opens up unprecedented horizons in human development. We must go along with this development and remove the existing barriers between the countries of the world in this field. We reiterate that we want everyone’s efforts to prevent abuse of cyberspace.
He continued: We must not forget that some countries in the world are facing some difficulties and we must take action to remove their oppression.
In these words, the Emir of Qatar called the Zionist regime the apartheid system of the 21st century and added that the Palestinian people should not be captive to the oppression of the Israeli occupiers.
He added: It is regrettable that we are witnessing violent conflicts in Sudan this year. We condemn the crimes committed against civilians in Khartoum and Darfur and demand punishment for the perpetrators of these crimes.
The Emir of Qatar announced that the danger threatens Lebanon’s government bodies and a political solution must be found for the political vacuum in the post of Lebanon’s president.
He added: “We will continue to coordinate international efforts to ensure compliance with the Doha Agreement in order to prevent Afghanistan from moving towards a crisis that is difficult to resolve.”
In the continuation of his speech, the Emir of Qatar invited everyone to be committed to the United Nations Charter in order to respect the sovereignty of countries and protect their lands.
He added: “A peaceful solution to resolve conflicts takes a long time and is difficult, but it is cheaper than war.”
Emir of Qatar stated: We understand that energy export creates duties for us as a trusted partner to the countries of the world.
