In the latest development, Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement to establish a 4-day ceasefire and exchange prisoners, which began this morning. A few hours ago, Israeli sources reported that the process of exchanging prisoners in the Gaza Strip has begun and that the Red Cross forces have taken over a number of prisoners.
Radio “Israel” reported, quoting Egyptian sources: “The Red Cross has captured the Israeli detainees and they are on their way to the Rafah crossing.”
Israel Radio further added that the Israeli prisoners who have been released will return to the occupied territories through the “Al-Awja” crossing through the Rafah crossing.
“Wala” website, quoting a security official of the Zionist regime, reported that the Red Cross had handed over 13 Israeli prisoners.
At the same time, the Zionist TV announced that all 13 prisoners will be handed over to the Egyptian authorities first and then to the Zionist authorities.
