England: We will arrest Netanyahu!
According to Reuters, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced that he would continue to talk to Netanyahu after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for war crimes in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking to the Foreign Affairs Select Committee of the country’s parliament, he further claimed that if Netanyahu entered the UK, he would abide by the ICC’s arrest warrant for Netanyahu, emphasizing that there was no way to ignore or circumvent the warrant.
The British Foreign Secretary added, however, that he would continue to talk to Netanyahu and senior Israeli cabinet officials about issues such as the ceasefire in Gaza and the importance of sending humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
The International Criminal Court on Thursday issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant; The reason for the ruling was stated to be the commission of war crimes in Gaza by these two officials of the Zionist regime.
Following the ruling, although the Zionist regime has sought to reject it, attack the legitimacy of the ICC, and intensify lobbying efforts, many countries, including European and American countries, have announced their readiness to implement the ruling, and “Joseph Borrell,” the European Union’s foreign policy chief, also did not consider the court’s order political, adding: “We must respect the court’s decision and implement it.”
