PNN – An English investigative journalist said that despite the claims of some European countries about stopping the transfer of arms, they continue to transfer arms to Israel (regime) secretly and through third countries.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, British journalist Iain Overton said in an interview with Anatolia news agency that almost all European countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain and England, have exported weapons to the Israeli regime in the past, and many of them continue to do so today.
Among other things, this journalist pointed out to England that 100 export licenses for the sale of weapons to the Zionist regime have been issued since the October 7 attacks, and this fact was kept secret for months.
He pointed out that many other European countries also sell weapons to Israel and often keep this issue secret from the public.
Orton added: “Some European countries are planning to stop selling weapons to Israel, but this does not mean a complete stop of arms transfers to Tel Aviv.” Countries such as Italy, Slovenia and Norway have restricted arms sales to Israel, but this does not necessarily mean stopping them.
Orton explained that the transfer of weapons using a third country is one of the fundamental challenges in many investigations regarding the arms trade, which makes it difficult to detect transparency and prove the willingness of one country to supply weapons to another country.
The journalist pointed out that the reality is that it is easier to export through a third country and export from there to Israel.
Crisis of existence in the United Nations and the International Court of Justice
Orton said that if it is proven that Israel has committed genocide, it is possible that the countries supplying the weapons will be acquitted of these charges. Any country exporting arms to Israel may claim that nothing has been proven and that these countries have not broken the law.
The Zionist regime has so far violated the Security Council resolution on an immediate ceasefire and is facing international condemnation for its brutal attacks in Gaza.
Media reports show that the British base in South Cyprus has played a role in facilitating more than 30 flights to deliver weapons and equipment to the Israeli regime since the beginning of the Gaza attacks.
