English surgeon: The conditions in Gaza are the worst thing I have seen in my life

PNN – The English surgeon, who was recently forced to evacuate Al-Aqsa Hospital and return to Cairo, spoke in an interview with CNN about the terrible medical and treatment conditions in Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, “There have been multiple amputations and horrific burns from Israeli bombing in Gaza, especially among children, which I have never seen before.” These are the statements of an English doctor who led a medical team in the center of the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Nick Maynard, a general surgeon who was forced to evacuate Al-Aqsa Hospital along with other members of the medical staff, says that “it is fair to say that I have never seen anything worse than this in my working life and probably will not see it in the future.”

The all-out attacks of the Zionist regime on the civilian infrastructure in Gaza from October 7th until now, the condition of its medical centers has faced the worst possible conditions. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees announced on Monday that due to the continuous attacks of the Israeli army, only five of the 22 health centers affiliated to the organization are active in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip.

Gaza has a total of 36 hospitals, according to the World Health Organization, all hospitals in the north of the Gaza Strip are inactive and only one hospital remains semi-active. A total of 10 hospitals are currently operating in Gaza, all of which are located in the southern regions of Gaza.

Referring to the dire humanitarian situation and the lack of medical facilities in Gaza, Dr. Maynard says that “there is not even a painkiller to reduce the pain of the patients”.
