Erdogan and Netanyahu war of words about Gaza.
While Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan likened Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler because of his crimes in the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu reacted to it.
An hour after Erdoğan’s comments, the Israeli prime minister said that the president of Turkey, who commits genocide against Kurds and arrests journalists, is the last person who should morally criticize Israel.
Erdogan said: What is the difference between you and Hitler? They are worse than Hitler. Netanyahu’s actions are no less than Hitler’s actions.
Criticizing international institutions and human rights organizations, he added: Some organizations talk nonsense and have high budgets, but when it comes to Israel and its atrocities, the absurdity of these organizations is also clear.
The President of Turkey continued: Not only international organizations, but also prestigious universities in Western countries were rejected regarding the Gaza issue. Just like what we witnessed in Nazi Germany 80 years ago, today scientists who have the courage to protest the ongoing oppression in Gaza are under pressure and threats. The doors of Turkish universities are completely open to scientists who are under pressure for defending human dignity (Gaza).
