PNN – The President of Türkiye stated: Unfortunately, despite all efforts by the international community, the crimes we are witnessing in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories continue.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Anadolu Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said today, Wednesday, in a message marking December 10, World Human Rights Day, that the killing of more than 70,000 people in Gaza shows that the values enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights have been severely damaged.

The Turkish president continued: Unfortunately, despite all efforts by the international community, the crimes we are witnessing in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories are still ongoing.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan added that the path to a just and lasting peace in Gaza lies in strengthening the ceasefire and implementing the two-state solution approach.

He further stated that, nevertheless, Israel once again demonstrates its lawlessness and disregard for rules by violating the ceasefire through attacks that have martyred at least 370 Palestinians since October 11. Increasing pressure from the international community on Israel to prevent Gaza from being dragged back into conflict is of vital importance.
