Early on Saturday, America vetoed the UN Security Council resolution to establish an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. After this vote, Israeli representative “Gilad Erdan” thanked Joe Biden’s government for “resolute support for Israel” in a message on X social network.

He said: “We have lost our hope and expectation from the UN Security Council. “Since October 7, the UN Security Council, whose mission is to establish world peace, has become Israel’s supporter.”

On Saturday, Pakistan also reacted to the failure of the UN Security Council to call for a ceasefire in Gaza, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said in a statement: “Pakistan is deeply disappointed that the UN Security Council has not called for a ceasefire in Gaza again.”

In this statement, it is stated: Despite invoking Article 99 of the UN Charter by the UN Secretary General and his warnings about the humanitarian disaster in Gaza, the Security Council has failed to fulfill its main responsibility to maintain international peace and security.

Pakistan declared that the collective punishment of the people of Gaza was “unacceptable”.
