According to the Turkish President, the Palestinian crisis and the war in Ukraine can only be resolved through peaceful means.

He stated: “We agree with Orban that there is no military solution for Palestine and Ukraine.”

The last round of Ukrainian peace talks with the mediation of Turkey was held in Istanbul in March 2022, and the agreements that were reached after these talks were not realized due to the disruptions in Ukraine.

Erdogan has already repeated several times that Turkey is ready to mediate on a peace agreement for Ukraine and hosts the revival of peace talks between Moscow and Kyiv.

The Turkish president has maintained his relationship with both his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts.

During his official visit to Budapest, the President of Turkey presented an electric car made in Turkey to Viktor Orban, and the Prime Minister of Hungary gave Erdogan a horse in return.

According to “Anatolia” news agency, Erdogan announced that Turkey-Hungary relations have reached the level of enhanced strategic partnership.

He said at the joint press conference with Viktor Orban: “Following the signing of the joint political statement with Orban, we have raised the level of our bilateral relations from a strategic partnership to an enhanced strategic partnership.”

“We plan to strengthen our investments and trade by hosting the first meeting of the Joint Trade-Economic Committee in Turkey in the coming months,” the Turkish president said.

The Turkish President said: “I am pleased that Hungary will strongly emphasize its support for our full membership in the European Union as it takes over the presidency of the European Union in the second half of 2024.”

He added: “Turkey and Hungary are seeking to strengthen their relations as much as possible in areas such as military and energy industries, where they currently have beneficial cooperation.”
