PNN – In response to the opponents of Ankara’s support for the Palestinian issue, the Turkish president said: We cannot be indifferent to the genocide of our brothers and sisters in the Gaza Strip.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Hurriyet newspaper in Istanbul, Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized Ankara’s support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Palestine in a local meeting against the threat of the Israeli regime.
He pointed to the historical relations between the people of Türkiye and Palestine during the Ottoman Empire and added: How can we be indifferent to the cries of our Palestinian brothers and sisters, who have been targeted by Israeli genocide for the past eleven months.
The President of Turkey, in a recent meeting with Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority in Ankara, called on the Islamic countries to try to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza and send humanitarian aid to this region.

He stated that Turkey is doing all its efforts to stop the Israeli regime’s barbarism in the Gaza Strip, and emphasized that this regime’s genocidal network is bloodthirsty, and whatever crimes it commits, it will not prevent the Turkish government and people from standing in solidarity with the Palestinians.
According to the statistics of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since October 7, 2023, more than 40,000 Palestinian citizens have been martyred in the Gaza Strip.
After about 11 months have passed since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s aggression to the Gaza Strip without any results and achievements, this regime is sinking more and more into its internal and external crises day by day.
