PNN – The European Union, while warning about the catastrophic situation in Gaza, emphasized that restrictions on aid delivery in Gaza continue due to the lack of a safe environment, which undermines humanitarian operations and aid deliveries.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Mayadeen, a European Union official admitted to Reuters on Thursday that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip remains very dire.

The EU official noted that the lack of a secure operating environment undermines humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip and hinders the delivery of aid.

He explained that there have been positive developments in relation to last month’s EU-Israel agreement on humanitarian aid to Gaza. These developments include the provision of fuel, the reopening of some crossings, an increase in the number of trucks entering the Gaza Strip daily, and the repair of some vital infrastructure.

Since October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has been subjected to Israeli aggression and a severe blockade, followed by a policy of systematic starvation targeting more than two million Palestinians.
