Europe and America’s closed doors to Zionists.

Experts have provided reasons and considerations for the recent complications imposed by Western countries on Israelis applying for citizenship, both in the United States and in European countries, while in previous years, especially before 2023, this was facilitated.

These experts believe that Western security agencies are very cautious and consider that Israeli soldiers who were present in the Gaza Strip and are accused of genocide may be among those seeking immigration and citizenship.

Another issue is the domestic and foreign political pressure against these countries due to their position towards the Israeli regime, as human rights institutions and civil society play a role in these countries. This has led to restrictions on granting residency and citizenship to Israelis, while the acceptance of the Zionist regime has also decreased in European countries.

The Zionist newspaper Haaretz previously announced that Israelis have faced new obstacles in obtaining citizenship abroad, especially in European countries. Following the transfer of tens of thousands of Zionists out of the occupied territories and the planning of many more to emigrate after the October 7th War (Al-Aqsa Storm), citizenship-granting institutions in Europe and North America imposed hardships.

Among the most prominent countries that made it difficult to grant citizenship to Israelis are the United States, Portugal, Romania, Germany, and Italy.

“Nizar Nazzal,” an expert and researcher on Zionist affairs, refers to this issue and says that the reservations of European and American countries in granting citizenship to Zionists are due to security issues, political pressures, and the positions of human rights organizations, especially after the Gaza war.
